Update

There have been several requests to visit Lesli. Lesli has expressed that she doesn't want any visitors. She is on a lot of medications that keep her comfortable but unfortunately makes her very sleepy and kind of out of it. She would like you all to remember her how she was before and not the condition that she is in now.

She wants you to know how wonderful her friends are. She appreciates all the love, support, laughter, and memories that all of you have given her. You will always have a place in her heart.

More Bad News

When we found out the the original chemotherapy was not working we were given two options. The first option was to try a new chemotherapy to see if it would push back the progression of the cancer. That was the option Lesli chose. After several rounds of the new therapy, we didn't get the results we were hoping for. The cancer is still progressing.

The other option given to us was to start hospice. Although Lesli has courageously tried everything to fight the cancer, at this point we are out of treatment options. The cancer is moving rapidly and without options we are doing our best to make our time together the best possible.

Thank you for your love and prayers.

Most Recent Test Results

With the most recent test results we did not get good news. Unfortunately the cancer is getting resistant to the Chemotherapy that Lesli has been doing and the cancer has spread. The doctors have suggested a couple new kinds of Chemotherapy that we hope will slow the rapid progression of the cancer.

Even with everything thing that is going on she is still feisty as ever. You all know how she is. :) She appreciates all your love and support.

Keeping Everyone Updated...

Since I have been such a slacker on updating people on how Lesli (mom) is doing I thought this would be an easy way for people to read what is going on. It is also a way for you to be able to keep in touch with Lesli. Please post anything you want and she will read it. Because she sometimes sleeps or is at doctor appointments during the day, it is hard to get a hold of her....but now you have a place you can contact her anytime and she will get it when she is feeling up to it.

At Lesli's request we will make this blog private. If you or anyone you know would like access to future updates please let me know and I will add you to the list.

Thank you for all of your prayers, words of encouragement, and kind thoughts during this hard time. We all very much appreciate it.
